School Supply Drive - Thank you neighbors!
/Thanks to our community partners and volunteers, our Back to School supply drive was so much bigger than we ever expected! We distributed more than 700 backpacks to happy children and families preparing for the school year! And NY1 even featured our work in a high-profile "New Yorker of the Week," featuring Soni Sangha discussing the work of the pantry.
We were delighted to welcome partners from NYP Methodist to provide pediatric dental screenings and from Venezuelans and Immigrant Aid to answer questions about the asylum process, and thrilled to share extra supplies with other neighborhood distribution efforts through PS 124, Gowanus Mutual Aid, CHiPS and PS 345 in East New York.
It was a great day made possible by our volunteers, contributors, and friends. Thank you so much and join us as we prepare for the Thanksgiving Food Drive and Holiday Toy Drive.
